The unit works great. Controls are smooth and easy to use. The transmission distance is the problem. I have an inexpensive, magnetic mount antenna. I have less than 100 yards of transmission power. On another vehicle, I have a 2 foot fiberglass antenna. This one has a little more transmission distance but not much. Maybe with a 4 foot antenna it would do better. I would like to have a few miles of power. This will require a much more powerful radio. If you are using this in a fixed environment, this is a great radio. If you are moving, I wouldn’t buy this one.
