   Reviewed about a dozen handheld transceivers before settling on the LT-950 PRO. The combination of 10W output, tri-band transmit, wideband receive, AND CB capability in one device is unique at this price. The Bluetooth app programming saves a lot of time. Battery life is solid (2200mAh). I've recommended this to three friends already.

   The LT-950 PRO punches well above its price point. APRS/GPS works as described, spectrum analyzer is actually useful for finding clear frequencies, and the receive coverage is impressively wide. FM broadcast, airband, shortwave reception — all work well. Only minor complaints are the menu could be cleaner and the speaker volume could be louder. For the price? Hard to beat.

   Bought this as part of our family emergency preparedness setup. The LT-950 PRO covers all our bases: VHF for local emergency comms, UHF for neighborhood nets, and the CB capability is a bonus for when we travel. Happy to have something that doesn't rely on cell towers. Hoping never to need it but glad it's there.

Took it camping last month — NOAA weather alerts came in crystal clear before a storm rolled through. The flashlight is surprisingly bright too. Worth every penny for anyone spending time outdoors.

   Passed my Technician test last month and this was my first radio purchase. The LT-950 PRO is feature-rich without being overwhelming. VHF/UHF coverage is exactly what I needed for local repeaters. The Bluetooth programming via app is genuinely useful. Paired it with a Nagoya NA-771 antenna and hitting repeaters 20+ miles out regularly. Great starter radio.

   Great hand held for price. I use as short wave receiver. Picks up WWV well 7.200 well LSB and AM short wave. Tri band frequency mode for aircraft. Excellent FM reception. Commercial AM and LW nothing or weak. CB if that is your thing. Spectrum Analyzer as well. Built in GPS and APRS. Not high dollar just works.

   The LT-950 Pro excels at straight analog VHF/UHF operation. It has honest power output over 8 watts. It transmits and receives analog voice very well, sensitivity and audio quality right up there with my Kenwood, Yeasu, and Icom portables. I briefly tested 6M and 10M and it saw 2.5W and 1.7W respectively, in other words it works on those bands but is not optimized for them. Works great on GMRS, FRS, and Marine frequencies also. WX radio is a quick one button option that works well. Zones are a great feature to keep your memories organized. The screen is bright and sharp. The stock antenna is very good. Given the fantastic voice performance I was disappointed to in the quite poor APRS performance. On my daily 4 mile walk I am lucky to see one decode on aprs.fi through my home digipeater. My FT5-DR, FT1-DR, and D75 all report multiple times along the entire path. I realize those three radios are quite a bit more expensive that the Luiton but given the great voice performance I expected better. If you are looking for great dual band voice performance you will be happily rewarded. If you are looking for APRS, look elsewhere. 73'

   Great radios for that price (low $100). I always recommend changing the stock antenna. In this case, I recommend to invest on a triband antenna to maximize the radio's features. It's well build and rough feeling. The screen is great and can be seen right under sunlight. Currently not supported on CHIRP but expect that coming soon since there is a way to get to work with CHIRP but it requires some radio prgramming knowledge. The manual isn't the best but anyone can find plenty videos on youtube with tutorials. Battery has 4 bars and (my battery) it drops one bar within the first 60 to 75 minutes of use but it doesn't drop another bar on the next 8 hours or so. Still haven't use it for more than 9-10 hours straight without charging. Radios with all the features as this one cost 3 times more. Luiton is coming with software updrades once a month. I highly recommend this radio.

   As a Purchaser of this Product I can tell you after Reviewing it. The Radio is Definitely a Tri Band Radio With Two work modes HF Bands 18MHZ to 54 MHz covering 6M as well on Work Mode 1 and 2m,1.25,70CM On Work mode 2 Now you can Only display on the three VFO bands One work mode at a time. Battery Life its Ok But it really needs a Heavy duty Battery but they are not available Yet! Now the Radio it's self as some pretty Good features for the Price point and is well worth the buy for a featured Rich Radio. It also comes with GPS and APRS. Sound Quality Great Sound. and Microphone. and Reception is Awesome But Strong signals are much for the Front end if you use an external Antenna.
