The radio works great and is made very solid. The included wire is fused in three places. Was long enough to route in my RAV4. The manual is very vague though.

Die doppelte Anzeige ist sehr nützlich, um zwei Kanäle gleichzeitig zu überwachen. Die Cross-Band-Wiederholung ist ein gutes Backup für unser Lagerhaus-Setup. Ein solider Wert für kleine Unternehmen.

Managing a 15-vehicle off-road club requires reliable comms. The UV-980P with its 50W output ensures even our vehicles at the back of the convoy stay connected. Cross-band repeat function turned one vehicle into a relay station when we’re deep in the backcountry. 800+ memory channels mean we can pre-program all our club frequencies. Highly recommend for group activities.

Um für den Notfall gewappnet zu sein, muss man mehrere Kommunikationsoptionen haben. Das UV-980P bietet mir VHF und UHF in einem Gerät, mit 50 W Sendeleistung, wenn ich Reichweite brauche. Das abnehmbare Panel ist ideal für saubere Installationen. Mit dem NOAA-Wetterdienst und der Möglichkeit, beide Bänder gleichzeitig zu überwachen, ist das UV-9P mein ideales Funkgerät für die Notfallausrüstung, das ich immer dabei habe.
