What is a 4G PoC radio, and how is it different from a traditional walkie-talkie?

A PoC (Push-to-Talk over Cellular) radio sends voice over 4G LTE mobile networks instead of private radio frequencies. Traditional walkie-talkies are limited by terrain, distance, and repeater coverage. The ALERVITES AT1 works wherever there is LTE signal, providing unlimited range for teams spread across a city, state, or country — with no radio license required.

Does the ALERVITES AT1 require a license to operate?

No. The AT1 communicates over public 4G LTE networks rather than licensed radio frequencies. No FCC, Ofcom, or equivalent radio license is required. Simply power on the device with the included SIM card and start communicating.

What is the communication range of the ALERVITES AT1?

Range is effectively unlimited wherever 4G LTE signal is available. Unlike traditional handheld radios limited to a few miles, the AT1 connects team members across buildings, cities, states, or countries over the mobile network. It is ideal for logistics fleets, security teams, multi-site businesses, and outdoor groups.

Is the SIM card included, and how do I activate the radio?

Yes. The AT1 ships with a pre-installed, pre-activated SIM card and an included data plan. The device is truly plug-and-play: insert the battery, power on, and it automatically connects to the 4G LTE network. No APN settings, no programming cables, and no PC software are needed.

How much does the ALERVITES AT1 weigh, and what is the battery life?

The AT1 weighs only 120g (4.2 oz), making it comfortable for long shifts and extended outdoor use. It has a built-in 2200mAh battery with up to 72 hours of standby time, and charges via USB-C — compatible with power banks and standard chargers.

Which version of the AT1 should I buy — US or EU?

You must select the version that matches your shipping destination. The US version supports LTE bands for the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The EU version supports bands for European countries. Cross-regional use will cause activation failure. Please confirm your location before ordering.

Can I create and manage groups without a dealer or extra software?

Yes. The AT1 supports on-device group creation and management, or you can use the free Ola Radio app (iOS and Android). Create groups, invite members by QR code or group number, and manage permissions directly — no dealer programming or subscription fees required.

I bought a pair for my construction crew after our old UHF radios kept failing at long distances. The AT1 is a huge step up. Communication is crystal clear regardless of where our guys are on site — even when they're miles apart on different projects. The included SIM card and data plan made it a true turnkey solution. No dealer needed, no programming software. The 4-day standby is no joke; I charge it once a week. Very satisfied.

We have three warehouse locations across the city and were paying for expensive radio repeaters. The AT1 replaced all of that. Each site manager carries one, and they can reach each other instantly over 4G. The build quality feels solid, battery life is as advertised, and the USB-C charging is convenient. I was worried about setup complexity, but it truly is plug-and-play. Great value for small businesses needing wide-area comms without infrastructure.

I run outdoor hiking groups and wanted something more reliable than FRS radios for larger spreads. The AT1 is perfect. It's only 168g, so nobody complains about carrying it. The battery lasted two full days of heavy use on our last trip. Best part? No license exam, no fees — just works out of the box with the included SIM. Group creation on the device was straightforward. Highly recommend for any outdoor organizer.

We needed communication across a 12-floor hotel, and standard radios struggled with dead spots on lower floors. The AT1 works over the mobile network, so coverage is everywhere — lobby, parking garage, roof. Setup was literally: insert battery, turn on, done. No programming, no license, no IT involvement. The audio is clear even in stairwells. For the price and simplicity, this is the best communication tool we've bought in years.

I manage a delivery fleet that runs between Texas and Oklahoma, and traditional radios were useless once drivers crossed out of range. The AT1 solved that completely. It runs on 4G, so as long as there's cell signal, we're connected. The included SIM card meant zero setup — just turn it on and talk. My drivers love that it weighs only 168g; they forget it's even on their belt. Battery easily lasts a full shift. Game changer for our operation.
