Everyone has a little bit different setup for their CB’s. I decided that I wanted to put money into a great radio with a lot of features. This one fit the bill, and of all the CB’s I’ve run (President McKinley, Cobra 29LX Max, Retivis AM/FM CB) it’s the nicest. The contrast is not as aggressive as some displays, with Daytime mode being just bright enough to hack it. The colors were all vibrant.

I paired this radio with a 3’ Firestik antenna and a 5” Pyle PA speaker. I wanted to test the full gamut of features. Overall, the radio functions extremely well.

I use these around the house and they have great clarity. So far they seem to be great "cheap" radios. They came with rechargeable packs, which is convenient for when the kids leave them on and let the batteries die.
Keep in mind that IF you had a 5 watt radio, compared to .5 watt, you'd get 10 times the coverage, but only three times the distance. This is because the power spreads out in a circle.

Just got this radio to mount in my truck. It's large but has all of the features you need. I was able to wire it up in about an hour (already had antenna and COAX cable ran, just had to switch out radios and power wires). I managed to lose the little screws that holds the radio into the mount.
Radio is holding up well. Friends are able to hear me clearly at pretty good distances even with obstacles. I'm still very happy with my purchase.

Read the manual correctly Haha. It's the best smallest unit I've gotten. Sound is Very clear and easy to install. But yes to use the AM/FM switch just change the CB-standard to the one that uses both. The unit build's quality looks good and feels good. The Mike feels like a toy but works well.
